Why Are Waltham School Principals Leaving?

Share your thoughts in the comments box below.

In the past two years, four Waltham Public Schools principals have departed the district for various reasons.

Robert LaRoche recently resigned as the head of the James Fitzgerald Elementary School saying he took a similar job in Watertown, while Sara Lane, earlier this year, left her principal post at the Henry Whittemore Elementary School with no explanation. Lane's predecessor, Deborah Butts, in 2012, left the school saying it needed a "change in leadership." Former Douglas MacArthur Elementary School principal Anthony Colannino left for a similar post in Wellesley in 2012.

In the comments box below, share your thoughts on why Waltham Public Schools appear to have trouble keeping principals in their posts.
