Waltham Public Schools are planning to shift some students to other elementary schools.

Program allows students from outside the city attend school here.
The Waltham School Committee this week voted to not participate in the state's School Choice program. The committee made the decision during its Wednesday, April 27 meeting at Waltham High School, according to School Committee member Lisa Limonciello. The School Choice Program allows students form other communities to attend school in outside districts. Limonciello said the decision does not prohibit Waltham teachers from having their kids attend school in the city.
