New Waltham Restaurant Opens

The new eatery, located in North Waltham, serves pub food.

Copper House Tavern, a new restaurant, has opened in Waltham. The new eatery is located at 380 Winter St. Along with a wide-ranging menu of pub food that includes burgers and pizza, it also offers wine and more than 40 beers, according to an announcement from the restaurants public relations firm.  The restaurant is owned by Greg Coughlin, who currently owns Olde Magoun's Saloon in Somerville.

Waltham Restaurant Owner Opening New Eatery in Belmont

The restaurant will feature fancy Italian food from the owner of Waltham's La Campania.

The owner of a Waltham restaurant plans to open a 60-plus seat restaurant in Belmont. Located in the space once occupied by a shoe repair shop at 436 Common St. in Belmont, La Maione Pizzeria Con Cucina will be an Italian eatery focusing on Neapolitan-style pizza and southern Italian "soul food" from chef John Maione who has owned La Campania in Waltham on Main Street for more than a decade. In his proposal to the town, Maione said he was drawn by the proposed Cushing Village residential and retail development which, itself, is reaching a critical junction in its year-long journey seeking Planning Board approval for a building permit to construct the three-building project.  Maione – who put up $40,000 of his own money to start jump the …

What Should Move In to Former Waltham Restaurant?

The former In A Pickle location on Main Street needs a new tenant.

With In A Pickle recently leaving its Main Street location for a new Moody Street spot, you may have had some thoguths as to what should move into the new spot.  The 655 Main St. location sits in the heart of the downtown Waltham district and is surrounded by other retail stores. Waltham Restaurant Plans To Open Second Location on Route 9

The owner of a Waltham Mexican restaurant plans to open a second location in Framingham on Route 9.

The owner of a Waltham Mexican restaurant plans to open a second location in Framingham on Route 9. Carlos Olmedo, whose family owns and operates Taqueria Mexico in Waltham, said he plans to open a second location at 250 Worcester Rd. The restaurant will occupy the former Top Shelf Restaurant location and the space currently occupied by PC Healthstop, which will be moving across to the street to 255 Worcester Rd., said Marlene Aron of Metrowest Commercial Real Estate. Aron and Fara Khedmaty of Metro Business Brokers, represented the owner of the building, who owns PC Healthstop. Olmedo told Framingham Patch "We have been in business about 25 years. What Do You Think of Waltham Restaurant Moving?

In A Pickle plans to move to a new location on Moody Street.

A Waltham restaurant is planning to move into an empty Waltham store front on Moody Street. In a Pickle has announced it will close its Main Street location and move into 265 Moody St. and hopes to open by the first week of April. The move will fill the former Asian Grill space and leave an empty spot on Main Street, at least temporarily.  What do you think of the move? Will it improve Moody Street? Will you still eat there? Popular Waltham Eatery Announces Move

The restaurant hopes to open its new location in April.

In A Pickle, a popular Waltham eatery on Main Street, has announced its plans to move to a new location. Take a deep breath -- it is staying in Waltham. According to the its Facebook page, the restaurant plans to move to 265 Moody St. (the former Asian Grill) and hopes to open by the first week of April. The restaurant plans to close its current location on March 25.  "Our new location will have double the seating capacity, beer & wine, more comfortable seating, a better atmosphere and a couple of other surprises.
