Scooter Crash In Waltham Leaves One Man Injured
Accident happened at Main and Newton streets.
At mini-scooter driver sustained serious injuries earlier today when his bike collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Main and Newton streets. At 1:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a mini-scooter crashing at the intersection, according to Waltham Fire Lt. Michael Murphy. The 40-year-old man sustained seirous injuries to the face and legs, Murphy said. The victim was transported by ambulance to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Murphy said. A MedFlight helicopter had been requested, but was unable to dispatch due to rainy weather, Murphy said.
