New faces join city government.
Two new faces won election to the School Committee last night, while the City Council gained one new member. Mayor Jeanette McCarthy was also reelected to a third term over her 22-year-old challenger. (See voting tallies) John Graceffa (3,498 votes) and Edmund Tarallo (2,737 votes), the son of City Councillor Ed Tarallo, both won seats on the school committee, while incumbent Margaret Donnelly (3,036 votes) won reelection. Incumbent Stephen Rando Jr. (2,609 votes) failed to gain his seat back, while the two other candidates, Alice Taylor (1,812 votes) and John Frassica (2,602 votes) failed to gain seats.
