Massachusetts officials have announced they will now allow illegal immigrants to pay the in-state tuition rate to attend any one of the state's 29 public universities instead of the higher out-of-state rate., according to Boston.com Immigrants, however, must obtain a federal work permit to qualify for the in-state rate, according to Boston.com. The announcement comes months after President Obama temporarily halted deportations for people under 30. What do you think? Should illegal immigrants be allowed to pay the in-state rate?

An employee of the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Watertown was arrested on Nov. 16 on charges of bribery and corruption, according to federal immigration authorities. Adriana Ferreira will appear in Suffolk Superior Court later today on charges of bribery, corruption and larceny, according the federal Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency. Ferreira, a naturalized U.S. citizen was arrested by State Police detecetives and ICE agents in Watertown. Authorities believe she was defrauding illegal immigrants by offerring them a driver's license in exchange for $2,000, according to ICE. However, those asking for such a license never received them. The argument is always that the children didn't break any laws so why should they suffer...well, why should my children suffer? I can't afford out-of-state tuition for them, I have all the same arguments illegal immigrants have, only I have not broken any laws.
