Newton Woman Allegedly Assaulted Man In Wheelchair In Waltham
Waltham Police have charged the woman with assaulting an elderly man she knows.
A Newton woman was arrested recently after she allegedly punched an elderly man in a wheelchair at his Waltham home, according to Waltham Police. Marlene McGuire, 39, of 32 Oakland St., Newton, is facing two counts of assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled in connection with a Jan. 23 incident at the Winchester Crane public housing building at 101 Prospect St. After responding to a report of two women fighting at the building, police determined McGuire had been arguing with the man, who uses a wheelchair. McGuire allegedly shoved the man and nearly tipped him over in his wheelchair, according to Waltham Police Sgt. Tim King.
