Waltham Starbucks Development Officially Dead

Developers can refile the project at a future date.

The proposed development that would have housed a Starbucks location, bank and Asian restaurant at 1019 Trapelo Rd. is officially dead.  The Waltham City Council, at its Monday, Aug. 6 meeting, officially accepted a withdrawal notice from developer Daniel Yu, to cancel his plans for the site. Yu notified the council of his plans recently, before the council officially accepted the withdrawal. No reason was given for the withdrawal, but Yu is allowed to refile his proposal at a later date.

I hope something will be done to help with the traffic situation at this intersection. The traffic gets backed up with cars entering/exiting Shaw's. We don't need to make the situation worse.   more ›
