Bernardo Betancourt, 36, of Waltham, was 'possibly' involved in the rollover car accident that killed his girlfriend March 24, police say.
A Waltham man who police say was “possibly involved” in the March 24 fatal car accident that killed his girlfriend has a long, storied driving record, according to the Registry of Motor Vehicle records. Bernardo Betancourt’s driving record spans five pages and includes multiple entries for at-fault crashes, speeding tickets and one loss of license. Police said they believe Betancourt, 36, of 67 Lowell St., was “possibly” involved in the rollover death of his girlfriend Lisa LeBlanc on Sunday, March 24. However, Betancourt has not been charged in connection with the accident, nor has anyone else. The Waltham man has not been charged in the death of Lisa LeBlanc, killed in a Sunday morning accident.
The boyfriend of a Waltham woman killed in a rollover crash early Sunday morning is facing OUI charges after being arrested near the accident scene, according to court documents. Bernardo Betancourt, 36, of 67 Lowell St., has not been charged in connection with the car crash, said Middlesex County District Attorney Spokesman Stephanie Chelf Guyotte. Betancourt faces one count of operating under the influence of alcohol (first offense), and pleaded not guilty during an arraignment hearing at Waltham District Court on Monday, March 25. Betancourt was released on his own recognizance, according to Guyotte. No charges have been filed in connection with the Sunday morning death of Lisa A. Authorities on Monday confirmed the identity of a woman killed in a rollover crash early Sunday morning in Waltham. Lisa A. LeBlanc, 41, of Waltham was killed when her car rolled over near 1163 Main St. on Sunday, March 24, around 12:37 a.m., according to Middlesex County District Attorney's Office Spokesman Stephanie Chelf Guyotte. LeBlanc was driving east on Main Street when her car veered into the westbound lane and struck another vehicle. Police believe LeBlanc was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and that speed was a factor, according to Waltham Police Sgt. William Gallant. The crash remains under investigation, according to Guyotte.

A car rolled over on Main Street at around 12:30 a.m. on March 24.
A female motorist died in the early hours of March 24 when the car she as driving rolled over and struck another car, according to Waltham Police. At 12:37 a.m., Waltham Police responded to a report of a car rolled over with a person trapped underneath, according to police. Firefighters responded and found the car on its side with the woman, who had been ejected, trapped under it. She died as a result of her injuries. Before the crash, the car had been driving east on Main Street but the driver lost control, veered into the westbound lane and struck another vehicle travelling west, according to police. Nobody else was injured in the incident. The crash is under investigation, but speed does appear to be a factor, according to police. …

The rollover occurred between exit 26 and Totten Pond Round
Two people suffered minor injuries on Sunday, Feb. 24 after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled over between exit 26 and Totten Pond Road on Route 128 in Waltham, according to the Waltham Fire Department. At around 1:15 p.m. Waltham firefighters responded to a report of a rollover on the northbound side of Route 128 where they found two people standing outside of the only car involved in the crash, according to Waltham Fire Lt. Scott Perry. The pair sufered minor injuries to their hands, but as a precaution, Cataldo Ambulance took both to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, according to Perry. State Police also responded to the scene.

Waltham firefighters transported two people to the hospital after a car rolled over between exits 26 and 27 on Route 128 northbound, according to Twitter reports.
