MEDIA ROUNDUP: Waltham College Settles Art Dispute

Brandeis University's art museum will remain open to public.

Brandies University has settled a long-running dispute of its Rose Art Museum. The Waltham-based college yesterday announced it had settled a lawsuit over whether the museum could sell its art, according to the New York Times and the school. The museum will remain open to the public and its artwork will not be sold, according to a press release from Brandeis. It’s search for a new director will continue. "This is a very good day for Brandeis and the Rose Art Museum and people who care deeply about both," Brandeis President Fred Lawrence said in a statement. "The Rose is and will remain an active and valued part of Brandeis. We are thrilled that this is behind us and we look forward to celebrating the museum's 50th anniversary this fall." …
