Waltham Residents Angry With Work At Polaroid Site

BOOM! Watch Out For More Blasting At Polaroid Site

Blasting at the site will continue into foreseeable future.

Blasting at the former Polaroid site will continue for the foreseeable future, according to the Boston Globe. Blasting at the site, which is being developed into a retail plaza, will continue into next spring, City Councilor Dan Romard told the Globe. Originally, the blasting was supposed to end in October of 2011. Developer Sam Park told the Globe blasting had been extended because he had limited the strength of each blast in order to lessen the disturbance to the neighborhood. Doing so has forced workers to perform more blasts.  The Waltham Fire Department told the Globe the blasts are within the legal limits. For more details, visit the Boston Globe.
