In an interview with ABC News, President Obama said he now supports gay marriage. The announcement represents a reversal of his prior stance against gay marriage, according to ABC News. Obama is the first president to endorse the rights of gay individuals to marry. "It is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told ABC News in an interview taped at the White House today. Excerpts of the interview will air tonight at 6:30 p.m. on ABC News. Of course, gay marriage is already legal in Massachusetts.
