Newton Hospital Donates Money For Waltham Student Health Survey
Survey will be conducted on May 23.
The Waltham Public Schools will continue its bi-annual youth risk behavior survey thanks to a generous donation from a local hospital. Newton-Wellesley Hospital donated $7,000 dollars to the school district on Wednesday, March 21 to pay for the survey, which evaluates health issues and habits among students. The survey is part of a federal Centers For Disease Control program. This year, the survey, administered to students in grades 7-12, will be done on May 23 during a one hour classroom session, according to Waltham Public Schools Director of Nurses Marie Desisto.
