Newton Mayor Setti Warren will be enjoying a meal on Waltham Mayor Jeanette McCarthy's dime thanks to Newton North High School's football prowss displayed over the weekend. The Newton North High School Tigers defeated the Waltham High School Hawks in a rivalary game on Saturday, Sept. 8, 21-8, according to Boston.com. McCarthy, in a bet with Warren last week, wagered a meal out in Waltham and a tour of Prospect Hill Park. Warren wagered a meal at O'Hara's in Waltham and Ice Cream at Cabots.

The Newton North Tigers and Waltham Hawks football teams are not the only people banking on winning their scheduled Sept. 8 rivalary game.
