Waltham Storm Center: Limited MBTA Service on Sunday

UPDATE, 3:53 p.m.: Waltham Public Schools will be closed tomorrow. ---- UPDATE, 11:02 a.m.: Starting at 2 p.m., limited MBTA subway and bus service will run on the Red, Orange, Blue lines between Orient Heights and Government Center, and Green Line between Kenmore and Lechmere, according to MBTA.com/weather. Limited bus service will also operate on the 1, 23, 28, 39, and Silver Line Washington Street in Newton only. Customers are encouraged to stay home and "use service sparingly," if possible, the website said. Commuter rail routes will remain suspended through Sunday. The MBTA weather update says regularly scheduled MBTA service will resume Monday morning. “Customers should expect significant delays and plan extra time for their Monday …

Ya great job guys. This is the worst plowing I have seen. Ya kid it's a blizzard, go to Watertown they too had a BLIZZARD but there streets are fine. Carter ya that's good blame the mayor but not the director. He said they did an ok job in another article. What they left out was on his street. Go to moody street then tell me how the plows did. Snowstorm Nemo Heading For Waltham; Huge Snowfall Expected

Meteorologists all agree that snowstorm Nemo could dump huge amounts of snow on Waltham and surrounding communities, but the exact number of inches is anybody’s guess. As of 9:40 p.m. on Feb. 6, WCVB-TV was forecasting 32.3 inches of snow for Waltham by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, while WHDH-TV was forecasting 16 - 24 inches. The National Weather Service was forecasting 18 - 24 inches.  The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for Waltham and surrounding towns from Friday night through Saturday morning. According to the watch, "The worst of the storm will be Friday night into Saturday morning," with snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour possible. "Travel may become nearly impossible with blowing and drifting snow." …
