OncoMed ceased operations in November 2012 after state inspectors found “issues with chemotherapy” medications at the site. A meningitis outbreak at a Framingham facility prompted an inspection at the Waltham compounding center.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has issued a cease and desist order to a Waltham-based compounding pharmacy. OncoMed was ordered closed on Nov. 21 “due to issues with chemotherapy drugs,” according to the DPH press release.
