VIDEO: New Waltham Business Offers Unique African Crafts

Anthony Sankale, of Malden, recently opened a new business on Crescent Street in Waltham.

Anthony Sankale can't help but smile when he talks about his homeland, Kenya. To share his passion, the Malden resident recently opened Mizizi Design on Crescent Street in Waltham out of which he sells hand-made crafts from from his Maasai tribe.  "I want this business to grow," Sankale said in a recent interview with Waltham Patch at his store.  FOR MORE ON THE NEW STORE, CHECK OUT THE VIDEO TO THE RIGHT. The store is the latest chapter in Sankale's journey to America. Sankale immigrated to the United States in 2005 after he was chosen to receive citizenship through the federal government's immigration lottery, he said.
