Waltham Couple Arrested for Watertown Bank Robbery
Watertown Police tracked the two alleged bank robbers to a hotel in Brockton.
Watertown Police detectives have arrested a Waltham couple suspected of robbing a Citizens Bank branch in Watertown on Monday, Dec. 3. Justin W. O’Connell, 28, and Erin R. Aspinwall, 29, both of of 49 Derby St. Apt. 1 in Waltham, each face a charge of unarmed robbery, according to Watertown Police. O'Connell allegedly approached a teller at the bank inside the Stop & Shop on Pleasant Street shortly after 10 a.m. on Monday, showed a note asking for money and left the store. He tried to hide in the trunk of a car driven by Aspinwall, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The bank had a surprise for the robbers, however.
