See which Waltham business recently closed over health concerns.
State officials have closed another Waltham compounding center in the wake of a surprise inspection, according to the Boston Globe. OncoMed Pharmaceutical Services was issued a cease and desist order on Nov. 21 after inspectors found problems with the way chemotherapy drugs were being stored, according to the newspaper. The company said there was no issue with the drugs themselves, just how they were being stored. The company has ceased operaiton and is working to fix the issues, according to the Globe. This is the second Waltham drug manufacturing center in recent weeks to cease operation. Infusion Resource of Waltham recently suspended operation over similar concerns.

Infusion Resource was recently shut down by state inspectors.
The Waltham compounding cener that was shut down last week intends to reopen in the future, according to a company statement. State inspectors shut Infusion Resource down on Oct. 23 after finding cleanliness issues and later surrended its license to the state. Now, the company says that it plans to reapply for its license once it installs a new floor in its facility and makes other repairs, it's CEO, Bernard Lambrese, said in a statement. "It is our expectation that we will successfully resolve these issues as quickly as possible and present back to the Board in the near future for re-licensing," Lambrese said. Lambrese said the shutdown was related to construction and maitnence of its clean room where some of its products are stored. …

Infusion Resource was recently shut down after a state inspection.
The Waltham compounding pharmacy shut down last week after a state inspection has surrendered its pharmacy license, according to WCVB-TV. Infusion Resource was shut down on Sunday, Oct. 28 after state inspectors found issues that could impact the cleanliness of its products, according to WCVB. The company was also administering intravenous medications without the proper license. The compnay has recalled the products it shipped in the past month, according to WCVB. The news comes after a Framingham firm was shut down recenlty after it was linked to the meningitis outbreak. Infusion Resource is not liked to the outbreak.
