What Should Move In to Former Waltham Restaurant?

The former In A Pickle location on Main Street needs a new tenant.

With In A Pickle recently leaving its Main Street location for a new Moody Street spot, you may have had some thoguths as to what should move into the new spot.  The 655 Main St. location sits in the heart of the downtown Waltham district and is surrounded by other retail stores. Also, it is close to public parking and public transporation bus stops.  What do you want to see move into the former In A Pickle location? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

In A Pickle Aiming to Reopen Soon

In A Pickle plans to reopen on Moody Street soon.

Your craving for In A Pickle food will have to wait a little bit longer, but hopefully not much longer.  Tim Burke, owner of In A Pickle, a popular Waltham restaurant, is wrapping up a months-long renovation project at its new 265 Moody St. location and is aiming to reopen on Monday, April 15, or Tuesday, April 16. The restaurant is waiting to undergo three different inspections before it can reopen, Burke told Waltham Patch during an interview at the new spot.  In A Pickle recently closed its former Main Street location to move into the larger Moody Street location.  After months of work, Burke said he is eager to reopen and see his friendly customers again. He hopes the new space will mean a shorter wait time for customers or even …

In A Pickle plans to move to a new location on Moody Street.

A Waltham restaurant is planning to move into an empty Waltham store front on Moody Street. In a Pickle has announced it will close its Main Street location and move into 265 Moody St. and hopes to open by the first week of April. The move will fill the former Asian Grill space and leave an empty spot on Main Street, at least temporarily.  What do you think of the move? Will it improve Moody Street? Will you still eat there? Popular Waltham Eatery Announces Move

The restaurant hopes to open its new location in April.

In A Pickle, a popular Waltham eatery on Main Street, has announced its plans to move to a new location. Take a deep breath -- it is staying in Waltham. According to the its Facebook page, the restaurant plans to move to 265 Moody St. (the former Asian Grill) and hopes to open by the first week of April. The restaurant plans to close its current location on March 25.  "Our new location will have double the seating capacity, beer & wine, more comfortable seating, a better atmosphere and a couple of other surprises. 'Say Hi' Campaign Breaks Goal in Waltham

The "Say Hi" campaign ended on Feb. 16.

After a week of community events, Waltham strengthened its community relationships by giving more than 2,600 ‘hi’ greetings for people who had not previously met their neighbor. REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, an organization that assists domestic violence victims, recorded 2,654 greetings as part of it’s Say Hi To Your Neighbors campaign intended to build and strengthen relationships among Waltham residents. The campaign kicked off on Feb. 5 and ended Feb. 16. “The week started off with a perfect way to bring neighbors together, a blizzard. Neighbors came together to say hello for the first time in a while, to commiserate about the snow, and to check on one another. These connections make a difference. Throughout the rest of the week …

Tomorrow is Friday, the day you most likely need that morning cup of coffee? Thanks to a local anti-domestic violence group, you can get that caffeeine fix free tomorrow. REACH Beyond Domestic Violence will be handing out free coffee tomorrow at the MBTA Commuter Rail station across from the City Common. The event starts at 8 a.m. The event is part of REACH's Small Actions campaign intended to prevent domestic violence through improving relationships among Waltham neighbors.

This popular breakfast and lunch eatery has filled a niche.

A restaurant has to be doing something right when it's packed at 2 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. Opened in 2005, In a Pickle, just across from City Hall, has become a destination in the Waltham restaurant scene. Its secret? A balanced choice of classic "all-day" breakfast fare: omlets, eggs with home fries, pancakes, French toast, waffles and reasonable prices. One long-time Boston food critic described its breakfast menu as "affordable, delicious, unpretentious, yet inventive." When the owner (he goes by just "Tim") was trying to open a restaurant seven years ago and wrestling with finances, he found himself in a pickle (hence the place's engaging name).
