Waltham Police Looking For Car In Hit-And-Run

Anybody with information should call police at 781-314-3600.

Waltham Police are searching for a car involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sunday, Dec. 16, according to their Facebook page. While police did not issue a specific description of the car, they said it should have damage on its passenger side and a missing passenger side mirror. The car is "most likely," blue, according to police. The incident began when officers responded to a report of a car striking a pedestrian at 8:20 p.m., according to police. They found a 68-year-old woman had been struck by a car. The woman had been walking in the road while pushing a shopping cart west on High Street, according to police. She was not in a crosswalk.  The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening …

Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-And-Run

A 38-year-old man was struck by an SUV at School and Church streets on Wednesday.

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when an SUV struck him at School and Church streets Wednesday evening. The incident took place at 6 p.m., police say. Witnesses told WCVB a speeding blue SUV struck a parked car and that the car slammed into the pedestrian. Police say they found the suspect vehicle a short time later. As of Thursday morning, they say the incident is under investigation and they are not releasing the name of the victim. WCVB reports that the alleged driver of the SUV is a young mother who came to the police station with her family to turn herself in. Police said Thursday morning that no one had been arrested in the incident.
