'The Hobbit’: Trailer, Show Times, Ticket Information

Before the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, there was another Unexpected Journey. Find Waltham showtimes and ticket information for "The Hobbit", which opens on Friday.

Before Frodo and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, there was another epic tale from J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle Earth. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey", the first in the three-part series, opens Dec. 13 and it's not too soon to figure out where you'll watch. According to IMDB.com, the movie traces the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug." Waltham Theater Still Holding Dark Knight Screenings in Wake of Aurora Theater Shooting

Owner of Waltham movie theater speaks out on mass shooting in Colorado.

Landmark Embassy Cinema in Waltham has issued a statement on the shootings at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater. The statement, however, does not address whether it would make any changes to theater rules or cancel screenings. The company's website, however, still lists screenings for the Dark Knight Rises for July 20 and on.  "Everyone at Landmark is stunned and saddened at this horrible tragedy in Aurora. Our hearts go out to the victims, families and friends, as well as everyone who was at the theatre. Guest safety, which has always been of utmost importance, will continue to be a major priority for us and all theatre operators.
