Missing Man Located in Watertown

Carlos Wilfredo Orellana Moya has been located.

UPDATED, 9:10 p.m.: Moya has been located in Watertown and taken to Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, according to Waltham Police Officer Kristin Tracey's Twitter feed.  ----- Waltham Police are searching for a man who went missing around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3. Carlos Wilfredo Orellana Moya, 40, was last seen wearing an orange jacket and pajama pants, according to a citywide alert. He is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. He has a small amount of facial hair. Moya has a history of medical issues and should not be outside alone.  Moya was last seen in the area of 85 Charles St., according to police.  If you have information on his whereabouts, call Waltham Police at 718-314-3700.

I think the system is great, but I think some measures should be put in place in their home to better alert them to his leaving. Chimes on doors, locks, perhaps a monitoring bracelet like they have for small children.   more ›

UPDATED: Missing Man Found Safe

The man was found safe at around 7:05 p.m.

UPDATE: 7:03 p.m.: According to the Waltham 911 Dispatch center, Carlos Wilfredo Orellana Moya has been found safe. He was found just over town line in Newton on Waltham Street.  ------ Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who went missing on Jan. 19. Carlos Wilfredo Orellana Moya, 40, is described as an Hispanic man, 5 feet, 6 inches tall weighing 125 pounds with a small amount of facial hair, according to an alert distributed by police. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue t-shirt. The man went missing from the downtown area of Waltham around 4 p.m. The man has a history of medical problems and should not be alone, according to the alert. If you see him, please call Waltham Police at 781-314-3700.
