Waltham Residents Not In A Pickle For Place to Eat

Eatery serves us tasty dishes and a helping hand.

One local breakfast joint has long been a staple of city living. For Waltham, it is a little place on Main Street called In a Pickle. Not only has the hole-in-the-wall eatery been continuously recognized as the best breakfast in Waltham, but was recently voted number one for the 2010 Boston A-List’s Best Brunch and Best Breakfast Sandwich in Boston. Waltham resident and owner Tim Burke, 35, attributes the title to his loyal customers. “I love this town,” Burke said. “It’s perfect for us.” Burke opened the restaurant in August 2004, but his experience in the industry dates back to 1998, when he worked his way up from bartender to management at a small bar and grill in New Jersey. The food is great. The short order chef and servers make you feel like your family. Tim does a great job as owner-manager-menu planner-Web site designer. The wait for a table on weekends is certainly worth it considering the innovative faire once you're in. I'd rather see Tim take over the Thai place next door and make a bigger "Pickle" then expand to Belmont or Lexington.   more ›
