Waltham Animal Control Gets Chip Scanner
Waltham Animal Control now has another to identify animals.
Waltham Animal Control now has the ability to identify lost animals by scanning microchips implanted in their body. The Massachusetts Animal Coalition has donated a microchip scanner to the city that can be used to scan and identify lost animals as long as they have the chip inside of them, according to a MAC press release. “I am very grateful for the generosity of Hopkinton Drug and MAC. This will definitely help me do the important work I do,” said Waltham Animal Control Officer Deanna Gualtieri in a statement. Hopkington Drug partly paid for the scanner through donations.
