Market Basket, Others Confirmed as Waltham Polaroid Site Tenants

Construction on buildings at the complex may begin in 2013.

Several tenants have now been confirmed for the retail/office development at the former Polaroid site, according to an announcement from the mayor's office. Market Basket, Bonefish Grille, TD Bank, Marshalls, Starbucks, and Jake & Joes (a sports bar and grill) have all been confirmed, according to an announcement from RMD Retail Management & Development, provided to Waltham Patch by the mayor's office. Starbucks Proposed for Waltham (Again)

Starbucks could be coming to Waltham.

For the third time since 2003, Starbucks has proposed opening its first location in Waltham, according to Traffic Commission documents.  The Commission is scheduled to discuss traffic impacts from the Starbucks during its Wednesday, Dec. 19 meeting at 10 a.m. at City Hall. The Starbucks would be located inside the proposed shopping complex at the old Polaroid side at 1265 Main St., according to Commission documents. A bank, yet to be named, has also been proposed for the site. Both merchants would include drive-thru windows. Under city regulations, the City Council would have to approve a fast food permit and a separate drive-thru permit for Starbucks.
