Delays For Five Guys/Panera/Chipotle Opening?
An update on the proposals for three eateries in Waltham.
Mistakes in construction of the new Main Street Marketplace have thrown a wrinkle into the plans for a new Five Guys, Panera Bread and Chipotle. As a result, the Waltham City Council has approved giving the three companies more time to review and receive their special fast food permits required to operate a fast food or "fast casual" eatery in Waltham. All three stores would be located at the new shopping plaza at 1030 Main St. City Councilor Ed Tarallo, who chairs the city's Ordinance & Rules Committee that has been reviewing the applications, said more review is needed due to the tenant's spaces being built in violation of previously approved site conditions.
