REACH, formerly known as the Support Committee for Battered Women, is a not-for-profit women's support group dedicated to helping women in need of refuge and support. The new name, an acronym which stands for "Refuge, Education, Advocacy and Change," clearly spells out its mission. 

Started in 1981 by a group of community volunteers, REACH has expanded to be a safe haven for women who are or have been physically threatened or are victims of domestic violence. With locations now in 27 communities around Massachusetts, REACH offers safety, education, healing and empowerment to women all across the state.
