Opened in 2004, MetalWerx is a non-profit school for learning jewelry/metal design. It also houses cooperative studio space for local designers. During each month, approximately 250 students participate in 13 different classes. Class size ranges from four to 12 students.

Classes include basic and advanced jewelry design, casting, stone setting and cold connections. Evening and weekend classes, workshops and seminars on various topics are also offered. Please see the website for an up- to-date classs schedule.
