Community Corner

Volunteer at the Waltham Council on Aging

Betty Giusti, the Meals on Wheels Coordinator, welcomes Waltham citizens and retired citizens to help prepare or deliver meals to the city's home bound elders. By offering one day a week, a few hours a day, you can make a difference in the life of a senior citizen. The City is divided into 11 routes. You can be responsible for one route, or you can be a substitute driver. We can use you in any capacity. Training is provided. For more info contact Betty @ (781) 314-3300.

TELEPHONE REASSURANCE PROGRAM    Volunteers are needed for two hours per week from your home or the senior center. The program provides friendly calls to check in on seniors who live alone. For more information contact Marybeth Duffy @ 781-899-7228.
