So You Say You Want a Revolution?

http://http//waltham.patch.com/groups/tom-stanleys-blog/p/waltham-public-schools I read City Councillor Tom Stanley's blog post yesterday and it gave me greater appreciation for our elected officials. That is, it's much easier to start an insurrection than it is to govern for the long term. So I'll just keep shouting from here and do my best to get people to listen and throw out the occasional idea and leave governing to those who are better at it. 

Tom is right, of course. Shouting "mutiny" and "throw the bums out!" will lead to even more instability and instability, of course, is one of the issues facing the Waltham School District. Yes! To mining the current talent we have in the district and Yes! To supporting our teachers and administrators. I do think, though, that we, as parents, as taxpayers, as voters, as community members, must continue the current level of engagement in the process and must demand communication channels that work for us. 
So, I am grateful to hear a reasoned voice from someone in a position to understand both sides of the story and to do something about it. I am also grateful that the conversation has started and doesn't show signs of ending anytime soon.
