So did you see this today?

I just saw this on my Facebook feed, as I am holed up in my air conditioned cave and am desperate to find something a little more interesting than another game of Uno with my kids:

What do you think?  Why are principals leaving?  is it coincidence?  What is the turnover like for principals at the elementary school level in other districts?  Should we be focused more on hiring from within the district, to prevent the 'outsider' issue?  How can we retain so many wonderful teachers and staff at all levels and not find consistent management for our elementary schools?

I'm really at a loss, and would love to hear thoughts on this.  Is there a role for the PTO to play?  I hear through the 'grapevine' that Fitzgerald parents in general and the PTO specifically are viewed as high maintenance, demanding parents.  If that's truly the perception, then I have some friends who live in Newton and Lexington who I would love to introduce you to.  Seriously, though, are the parents here part of the problem?  Can we be part of the solution?  And is there a problem at all?
