Waltham's July 4th Fireworks Postponed

The family day at Prospect Hill Park has been canceled.

Waltham’s Fourth of July fireworks at Leary Field have been moved from Friday, July 4, to Sunday, July 6, because of the inclement weather forecast, according to the city.

The family day at Prospect Hill Park, which had been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, has been canceled.

The band Back in Time will still perform before the fireworks Sunday at 6 p.m. Gates to Leary Field will open at 5:30 p.m.; the fireworks are set for 9:15 p.m.

No wheeled coolers will be allowed, and all bags will be subject to search.
