Celtics' Point Guard is a Familiar Face Around Waltham

The Celtics may have found a replacement for point guard Rajon Rondo as he recovers from an injury, and he hails from Waltham.

On Monday, Boston officially signed Phil Pressey to a contract. The former Waltham High School player did not get drafted, but impressed the Celtics with his play during summer league games, according to a story in the Boston Globe.

While Pressey signed a contract, making the team for opening night will not be certain until Aug. 1, when they will have to cut the roster from 17 to 14.
