Is Watch City Brewing Co. Closed for Repairs or Out of Business?

A recent sign on Watch City Brewing Co.’s door indicates that the Moody Street brew pub is “Closed for Repairs.”

However, on Sunday, Waltham City Councillor Robert G. Logan, @CouncilW9, tweeted, “I heard from relative of employee they are out of business,” raising questions about the brewery’s fate.

Thamtastic, @Thamtastic, a Waltham blog, tweeted back, “Hearing bad things thru the grapevine.”

Waltham Patch was unable to reach the brewery Sunday night. There has been no word on the Watch City Brewing Co.’s website, Facebook page or Twitter account, @hopsexplosion.

The 180-seat brew pub at 256 Moody St. in Waltham opened in 1996.
