Waltham Schools Chief Speaks on High School Renovations Request

Days after Waltham High Schools' request for funding assistance to renovate the aging school, Waltham Public Schools Superintendent Susan Nicholson said she thinks the district will reapply for funding. 

"I am profoundly sad and disappointed to hear from MSBA that Waltham was not invited into the process. I am very surprised about their news especially in light of the date," Nicholson said by email. 

Nicholson said she is hoping to submit another request. Nicholson said she believed the Waltham School Committee would discuss the issue at its Jan. 8 meeting.
