Mayor Jeannette McCarthy is scheduled to meet with James Fitzgerald Elementary School parents on Monday night to hear their concerns on the "stability" of the school district.
The meeting will be open to parents and the media, but not others, according to McCarthy. It is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Waltham Community and Cultural Center at 510 Moody St.
The meeting comes in the wake of recent controversy of whether McCarthy, as mayor, has the right to meet with parents without first notifying the School Committee.
