How Much Does Brandeis’ President Make?

Brandeis University’s president, Frederick Lawrence, took in nearly $1 million in total compensation in 2013, according to a recent article in The Justice.

Lawrence made $996,492; the figure includes his salary, bonus, housing and other benefits, according to the independent student newspaper.

Lawrence also received a $199,020 raise from 2011 to 2012, as he made $757,479 and $956,499, respectively.

The report cites the Board of Trustees first-ever annual report to the university’s faculty, which was released at last week’s faculty meeting.

Lawrence’s salary ranked him in the 59th percentile in 2013 in a group of 28 “peer” colleges and universities.
