Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone is expected to sign an executive order Thursday that would limit the time his police officers could hold undocumented immigrants solely on immigration violations, according to the Boston Herald.

Which begs the question: Should Waltham follow Somerville’s lead?

Let us know in the comments below.

Curtatone’s order would be unprecedented in Massachusetts.

“This is morally the right thing to do,” he told the Herald.

After the order in Somerville, undocumented immigrants will only be held by police if they have a warrant out for their arrest or for non-immigration-related legal reasons, according to the report.

Years ago, laws which were on the books were upheld and enforced. A lot of today's politicians, such as this moron Curtatone, pick which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore, thereby following the lead of the resident idiot in the White House. Liberal milquetoasts like Curtatone have no regard for the will of the people, but exist only to suck up to fools like Patrick, Warren, and Markey.

Johnny I agree with you but part of the problem is too many lawful people are not activists or well-informed so they keep losing their freedoms and money to the wacky left (or not so wacky socialists--who actually have a plan) Any solutions?

We should NOT follow Somerville on this.
