Lake Street Apartment Complex Plans Officially Dead
Developers officially withdraw their plans.
The plans to build an apartment complex on Lake Street have been officially cancelled.
The Waltham City Council, during its Oct. 9 meeting at City Hall, approved the developer's request to withdraw its petition to rezone the site. Rezoning the site to Business B status would have allowed for an apartment complex or business on the property.
The withdrawal comes after abutters decried the developer's plans saying a new building would increase traffic in the neighborhood.
