Congressional Forum in Watertown on Tuesday

The forum at will have a moderated discussion and an informal meet and greet.

Candidates seeking to take the seat vacated by Ed Markey will be in Watertown on Tuesday, Sept. 10 for a candidate forum.

Seven hopefuls seeking the Massachusetts 5th Congressional District seat will be at Watertown Middle School, 68 Waverley Ave. in Watertown, at 7 p.m. State Sen. Will Brownsberger, State Sen. Katherine ClarkMartin LongPaul John Maisano, Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, State Rep. Carl Sciortino and State Sen. Karen Spilka have all committed to attend the event.

The forum will be moderated by former State Sen. George Bachrach and will be broken into two segments. The first part will be a moderated discussion, which will be followed by a more informal meet and greet. 

Candidates are running in a special election, with a primary on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and a the state election on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
