Waltham Police on July 4 arrested a woman for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol with two children in the car.
Christina O'Connell, 44, of Hudson, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence (second offense) and child endangerment while operating under the influence.
The incident began when police received a report of an erratic driver in the area of 1085 Main St., according to Waltham Police Sgt. Tim King. When officers arrived, they noticed O'Connell had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and that she appeared intoxicated. They also spotted two pre-teen children in the car. The children appeared ok.
