• During winter storms, there is no overnight parking ban. However, not all the signs have been removed. The city abolished the ban earlier this year. Just remember to park in a way to allow for public safety vehicle to travel your street. 
• However, during storms, the city can declare a snow emergency which means motorists are prohibited from parking on the city's streets. They can park in any one of the city's public lots. After the emergency is lifted, motorists have 24 hours to move their cars, according to Waltham's Traffic Engineer J. Michael Garvin.
