Waltham Teen Severely Cut Fingers This Afternoon

Teenager taken to hospital with serious hand injury.

A 16 year-old Waltham teenager severly cut the fingers on his right hand this afternoon, according to the Waltham Fire Department.

Waltham firefighters responded to 47 Chester Ln. at 1:57 p.m. and found the teenager conscious and with a bandaged he put on his hand, according to Waltham Fire Lt. Michael Murphy. The teen had lost consciousness prior to first responders arriving, but was concious when firefighters arrived. His fingers were still attached.

The teen was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, according to Murphy.

There was no word on how the teen injured himself.
