Waltham Stabbing, Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Police arrested Luis Santiago Tuesday morning.

Waltham police have arrested 24-year-old Luis Santiago, who was wanted in connection with a March 22 stabbing and armed robbery on Prospect Street in Waltham, according to a department release.

Santiago allegedly stabbed the victim, who was known to him, several times. Police issued a warrant for his arrest at the time for attempted murder and armed robbery charges.

Police took Santiago into custody without incident shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday, after receiving an anonymous tip that he had returned to Waltham in a motor vehicle. Officers found him lying in the back of a minivan on Hammond Street, according to the release.
