Waltham Police Looking For Car In Hit-And-Run

Anybody with information should call police at 781-314-3600.

Waltham Police are searching for a car involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Sunday, Dec. 16, according to their Facebook page.

While police did not issue a specific description of the car, they said it should have damage on its passenger side and a missing passenger side mirror. The car is "most likely," blue, according to police.

The incident began when officers responded to a report of a car striking a pedestrian at 8:20 p.m., according to police. They found a 68-year-old woman had been struck by a car. The woman had been walking in the road while pushing a shopping cart west on High Street, according to police. She was not in a crosswalk.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The Waltham Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident. Anybody with information can call police at 781-314-3600.
