Waltham Police Investigating Pedestrian Crash

The victim was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

The victim of the Jan. 30 pedestrian accident was a 65-year-old Waltham resident, according to Waltham Police Sgt. William Gallant.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital after she was struck by a 2001 Toyota Avalon at the intersection of Lexington Street and the Waltham High School access road, according to Gallant. There is no word on the extent of her injuries, Gallant said, but she was breathing and conscious when first responders arrived at the scene.

The woman was out for a morning walk when the car struck her at around 6:45 a.m.

The accident remains under investigation, Gallant said.
