Waltham Police Investigating Oak Street Attack/Robbery

Waltham Police are investigating a Wednesday unarmed robbery that put a man in the hospital with serious injuries.

The robbery took place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday outside 27 Oak St., police said in a press release. The robbery came amidst a police warning of an uptick of unarmed robberies in the downtown area recently. 

Video (click above for it) of the incident shows three suspects following the victim from easterly on Newton Street to Oak Street immediately before the attack. Although the video does not show the attack, police say the suspects attacked the victim from behind and took the the victim's wallet. 

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious head and face injuries, according to police.

Police issued descriptions for three suspects.

Suspect 1: A light-skin man (maybe Hispanic), 5' 5'' to 5' 7'' tall, thin build, light colored hoodie sweatshirt (maybe gray) that has dark letters on the cheset area. The suspect also had dark gloves, a large light-colored backpack with distinct dark-colored zippers. The suspect was wearing jeans. (See below for a photo of the suspect). 

Suspect 2: A man of unknown race and complexion, 5' 8'' to 5' 10'' in height with a medium build, dark puffy jacket, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers with white marks. The suspect also had dark gloves.

Suspect 3: A man of unknown race and complexion, 5' 7'' to 5' 8'' tall, medium building, with a dark jacket and blue jeans. The suspect also had white sneakers and dark gloves.
