Waltham Police Investigating Another Armed Robbery

Waltham Police are investigating the fifth armed robbery in Waltham in three weeks.

The latest occurred Thursday when a man walked into the Shell Gas Station at 225 Waverly Oaks Rd. at around 10:55 p.m., according to Waltham Police. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded cash form the clerk. The clerk gave the suspect $200 and the robber fled the store, jumping a wood fence as he ran, according to police. 

The suspect is described as a white man wearing a white t-shirt and sandals with dark shorts with two white stripes on the side, police said. He used the orange shirt he was wearing to cover his face. 

Immediately prior to the robbery, the suspect was spotted standing outside of the store wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt. 

Police are investigating whether the robbery is connected to two recent robberies in which the robbers have not been caught. Those include the robbery at a Mobil gas station on Moody Street and another robbery in the Lakeview neighborhood. Police arrested suspects in two other recent robberies including of a cab driver and a gas station on Main Street.
