Anybody with information should call police at 781-314-3600.

Police have identified a suspect in the armed robbery of a Shell gas station on Sunday morning.

The suspect, whom police declined to identify because he has not yet been arrested, allegedly committed a similar offense in Marlboro minutes after the Waltham robbery, according to Waltham Police Sgt. Joe Guigno.

The Waltham incident began at around 7 a.m. on Sunday when the suspect entered the Shell gas station at 65 Main St. and brandished a small handgun, Guigno said. The suspect placed the gun on the counter and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect the money, and the suspect fled in the direction of Barbara Road. At the time, police believed he might have entered a white car in that area.
